Warning: extremely long post! It rivals the amount of time it took to complete this beast of a project!

Here is the long-awaited (3 weeks!) redesign of Smiley Helper. I'm super ecstatic that I'm finally done transferring pages since this whole thing took such a long time and I ran into a whole lot of problems (but I managed to work through pretty much all of them, except for the image uploader not working :/ that's the only page I had to take off). Here is a list of the changes as well as what I spent all that time doing:

- New layout
- Transferred a total of 288 pages
- Breadcrumbs on every page (those things that say Home » Tutorials etc.. and plus unlike the old ones, these are links and they are on EVERY page)
- New inspiration section with 1 page so far, 23 Cutest Designs. Watch this section for more lists of great sites, interviews, good fonts, and more.
- Different submitting system. It'll probably take a while to get it all workout out, but you can make an account on our wordpress and write your tutorial there and then we decide whether or not to approve it.
- Comments on every page. You can now comment directly on a page, rather than commenting about it in the updates or by email (but you can still do that if you prefer).
- Tutorials are no longer crusty! Remember all those tutorials that had huge amounts of space, randomly changing fonts, and ugly titles? That's a thing of the past now! I fixed every last piece of ugly coding. >:D
- Everything is dated now. This doesn't really matter much (especially since they aren't the dates I originally made the pages- that would be years ago) but for future additions you can figure out what the newest content is easily.
- Previews for everything. This is something really exciting, because now there are previews for all the graphics and resources and tutorials so you can see what something looks like before you click on it (important for tutorials).
- Polls. I'll probably change it every week or so or whenever. Feel free to comment suggestions for future polls.
- Search. Now you can more reliably search through all the posts. Not like some of those old searches we had, haha.
- Author pages. If you submit a tutorial and we accept it, you'll get your own author page which you can link to your site with or write a mini bio or anything and it shows your most recent 10 tutorials. This way you don't have to worry about whether or not you have a site when you submit something, because you can update your profile yourself whenever.
- Entry and comment rss. ..Yeah I don't really use this feature, but it came with wordpress and I don't think you're supposed to try and take it off. xD If you subscribe to rss feeds, now we have one so you can get informed about our updates before anyone else.
- Share / Save at the bottom of all posts. If you find a page you really like, you can easily add it to Digg, Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Delicious, etc. Or you can use it to bookmark the page or email it to someone.
- Brush files. I finally finished adding photoshop .ABR files to all the brushes. =)
- Web coding tutorials. The web coding pages are all separate pages now so you can find what you're looking for more easily.
- The first page to be transferred was the Scribbles, and the very last was the Zigzag Lines tutorial.

This is probably the most time-consuming/extensive/lengthy/obnoxious/fulfilling thing we've done ever, and there were more than a few smiles, tears, frustrations, and wanting to beat up the computer along the way. But all in all, I'm glad I finally got this done (what is this, the 3rd time I've tried to transfer the site to wordpress?) and hope you enjoy the redesign.

P.S. The homepage wouldn't have had to been in maintenance mode at all if I hadn't seriously messed something up in the way beginning. Just saying haha
