Make a Guild Layout
Here's a template. Just copy and paste it into MS Paint (start- accessories- paint)
First, pick one color that will go throughout your whole layout (example: purple). Next, click on the paint bucket and change the color to a light version of the color you chose. Except for black, white, and gray, don't use paint's preset colors because they are bright, garish, and it makes it fairly obvious you used paint. Fill in the background, or the main part of the layout (not inside the boxes).
Now for the text. Pick ONE, yes one, type style to use for the whole thing. You can use a pixel font like redensek for the credit to yourself at the bottom, but the box labels and guild name should all be in the same type style. It looks so much neater. Also, it should be a dark version of your orginal color.
Taking the shade you just used for the text, fill the outside border and the borders of the inside boxes. It'll make it look more put together.
Now take the eyedropper and select the color you filled in the main layout with. Go to Colors- Edit Colors- then click Define Custom Colors. Drag the arrow up so your color gets lighter. Just enough that if fakes transparency. ;) Click ok and fill the inside of the boxes.
You can add neopets images or anything you want, but try not to cover the boxes or text too much. And remember that it's okay to resize a picture smaller, but NEVER bigger. It makes it look horribly pixelized.

When saving, go to File- Save As - and change 'Save as Type' to png.

Just copy and paste this code into your guild, upload your picture to tinypic.com, and take the last code they give you and replace it where it says URL OF IMAGE HERE.
